World After  - Susan Ee

World After begins at the point where Angelfall ended...Not much happened to keep me interested for much of the story. (I actually had to force myself not to skim.) 

The flashbacks (alternate POV) rehashed scenes from book one, which felt unnecessary for this plot's progress. Exploring Paige and Penryn's relationship in-depth, rather than brief underwhelming moments of internal conflict, would have forged a meaningful connection with the characters and me, the reader. The characters didn't feel as natural as they had in Angelfall before the grand shift of things in book 2. World After did not leave me dying in anticipation for the next book.
